The SBI exposed People's Deputy of Rivne Regional Council, Deputy head of the regional Forestry and Hunting Department office, who has in his possession millions of dollars of illegal wealth

The SBI employees exposed People's Deputy of the Rivne Regional Council, Deputy head of the State specialized economic enterprise of the Polissky Forestry Office "The Forests of Ukraine", for undeclared assets worth millions of dollars.

The suspect had held the position of head of the Rivne Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting until February 2023. Then he took one of the management positions in the State specialized economic enterprise of the Polissky Forestry Office "The Forests of Ukraine", which was founded on its base.

While he was working in the executive branch and local government, he managed to illegally enrich himself by millions of dollars.

Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceeding, the searches were conducted at his place of living and workplace, as well as his family members etc. During the investigation, more than 4 million US dollars in various currencies were found and seized in cash.

Also, law enforcement officers found 3 luxury cars "AUDI Q8", "MERCEDES-BENZ GLE 350E", "BMW X5", jewelry and expensive watches, including the luxury brand Рatek Philippe. Gold coins and ingots, 2 pistols, the Kalashnikov assault rifle with 16 full magazines were also found.

In addition, the People's Deputy owned four plots of land in Rivne, on which he was building cottages. The plots of land have been registered to nominal persons, who were controlled by him.

The suspect was served notification of suspicion under the Article of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The request was also sent to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention regarding the monitoring of the lifestyle of the person involved and his family.
