The SBI is investigating more than 2.6 thousand cases of high treason and collaboration: more than 1.4 thousand suspects, 1.2 thousand cases were sent to the court

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has been fighting against internal threats to national security. The investigators of the Bureau are working tirelessly to collect evidence, interrogate witnesses and send materials to the court to bring the people responsible to justice. Their systematic work is aimed at detecting and bringing to the justice those, who betrayed Ukraine or collaborated with the enemy. The Bureau demonstrates its determination to cleanse the country of traitors, creating a solid foundation for the security of the state and its citizens.

In June 2025, the SBI was investigating 2,634 criminal proceedings for crimes against the national security of Ukraine, including:

• 1,836 proceedings on the facts of high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
• 623 proceedings on collaboration (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
• 46 proceedings on aiding the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
• 38 proceedings on obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
• 33 proceedings on the financing of actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine (Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Within these proceedings:

• 1,4 thousand people received notifications of suspicion,
• 515 people are put into wanted list,
• 1,3 thousand people are being checked for involvement in high treason and collaboration,
• 1,2 thousand indictments were sent to the court,
• 142 sentences entered into legal force.

The examples of the effective work of the SBI:

The SBI sent to the court a case of high treason against a former official of the National Security and Defense Council and three employees of the russian federal security service, who were involved in spying

Traitor, who worked in the so-called “people's police” during the occupation of Izyum, is sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the materials of the SBI, the former head of the Vovchansk District Court was sentenced to 15 years for high treason

In Rivne region, the former heads of regional and district recruitment centers will be judged for obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces

These results demonstrate the SBI's determination to fight internal threats and ensure Ukraine's national security.

The SBI will continue to intensify its work to ensure that everyone who betrayed Ukraine is brought to justice.
