The SBI investigats a traffic accident that involved a NABU detective on the border between Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions

The employees of the SBI are investigating all the circumstances of a traffic accident that occurred in the evening of September 11, 2025, between the villages of Vovchatytsi (Khodorivska TG, Lviv Region) and Pomonyata (Rohatynska Teritorrial Community, Ivano-Frankivsk Region).

It has been preliminarily established that at around 7:00 p.m., a collision occurred between a truck and a passenger car, which, according to its technical passport, is owned by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

As a result of the collision, the truck driver suffered serious injuries. He was hospitalized at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Hospital, where doctors are currently providing him with emergency care. The NABU detective suffered bruises and minor injuries and is also in the hospital.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules resulting in serious bodily injury.

Initial investigative actions are currently underway: the scene of the accident is being examined, questioning of the witnesses, and material evidence is being collected. The State Bureau of Investigation will ensure a complete and objective investigation of all the circumstances of the accident.
