The SBI seized documents from the Kyiv City State Administration in the case of misuse of recreational land and abuse of authority
The SBI employees conducted searches in two departments of the Kyiv City State Administration within the framework of pre-trial investigation into misuse of recreational lands of one of the Kyiv parks and the abuse of authority.
Documents related to the tender announcement for attracting an investor, as well as the implementation of the terms of the investment agreement between the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) and one of the capital's enterprises, were seized during the seizure.
It was established that in 2015 one of the capital's businesses signed an investment agreement with the KCSA for the construction of sports facilities. However, according to the investigation, the company does not comply with the terms of the investment agreement, particularly the construction and financing schedule of the project. The facts of park territory misuse were also documented.
The work that was supposed to be completed by March 2022 has only been completed by 30% of what was stated in the design and estimate documentation.
The total investment amount under the agreement signed is nearly UAH 149 million.Employees of SBI are investigating the role of Kyiv City State Administration officials in the reasons for the company's failure to meet the terms of the investment agreement over the past seven years.
The criminal proceeding was opened under the article of authority or official position abuse, which caused grave consequences (Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 6 years.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
