The SBI continues to expose traitors: four law enforcement officers from Sievierodonetsk and Henichesk are served with suspicion notices
Four law enforcement employees who betrayed Ukraine and joined the ranks of the occupiers were served with notices of suspicion in absentia by SBI officers.
Thus, in Sievierodonetsk, at the start of the full-scale russian invasion, one of the suspects disobeyed the order to evacuate and headed the city's "Ministry of Emergency Situations." For his active participation with the invaders, he received a diploma from the occupation government.
Another traitor arrived in Sievierodonetsk after 24 February 2022 and also went to "serve" in the fire department of the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR".
Before the occupation, the third defendant headed one of the fire and rescue units in Sievierodonetsk. However, after the temporary occupation of the city, he became the head of the fire department of the 'LPR Ministry of Emergency Situations' in Rubizhne, Luhansk region. In addition, he participated in a meeting with a delegation from unrecognised Abkhazia, which he interviewed on propaganda TV channels.
Another law enforcement officer went to work for the occupiers in Genichesk. He got a job in the fake institution of the occupation administration - the so-called police, which operated under the laws of the Russian Federation.
Three ex-law enforcement officers from Luhansk region were served in absentia notices of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A defendant working for the occupiers in Genichesk was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of voluntarily holding a position in an illegal law enforcement agency (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Kherson Specialised Defence Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region.
