The SBI served another notification of suspicion to the Deputy of the Vinnitsa regional council from "Opposition Platform - for Life" for evading service in another military unit

The employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Security Service of Ukraine, have served the second notification of suspicion to the current Deputy of the Vinnitsa Regional Council, that was elected from the banned party «Opposition Platform - for Life», who systematically evaded military service in various units.

It was established, that after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, the Deputy of the Vinnitsa Regional Council was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From July to November 2022, he was supposed to serve in Chernigov, but in fact he was at home in Tulchin, Vinnitsa Region. At that time, he unreasonably received military payments in the amount of 209 thousand hryvnias.

The investigation of the SBI on this fact has already been completed, the indictment has been sent to the court.

Subsequently, the Deputy of the Vinnitsa Regional Council was officially transferred to a military unit closer to his place of living: in November 2022, he took the position of shooter in one of the territorial defense battalions of the Vinnitsa region. Despite this, he continued not to appear in the service, but regularly received salary. From November 2022 to May 2023, almost 200 thousand hryvnias was illegally paid to him.

Currently, the Deputy of the Vinnitsa Regional Council has been served notification of a new suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 4 of Article 409 and Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - evasion of military service by deception, committed under martial law, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, as well as fraud committed under similar circumstances.

The sanction of the Articles provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The investigation into the persons, who have facilitated the Deputy's evasion from real service is ongoing.
