The SBI reported suspicion to the deputy director of the National Park in Kherson region, who had given boats and other state property to the russian military
SBI employees served a notice of suspicion on the deputy director of the Nizhnedniprovsky National Nature Park, who had given the park's property to the occupiers.
On the eve of the war, an indictment was filed against the deputy director of the national park for failing to ensure the protection of water resources, resulting in the illegal catch of over 157 tonnes of fish in the Dnipro River. This caused losses to the state of over UAH 62 million.
From the very first days of the temporary occupation of the Kherson region, the man collaborated with the enemy and began to help the occupation regime in every possible way. He immediately gave the occupiers the property of the National Park, including two boats worth almost two million hryvnias. The russian military put their symbols on the small boats and used them to patrol the Dnipro River and control the Antonivsky Bridge.
The defendant also was actively engaged in the formation of the so-called "Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kherson Region", which became a part of the occupation authorities and is operating under the russian laws. He prepared the bogus institution's regulatory documents and recruited Kherson residents to work for the "department".
It was established that the defendant actively cooperated and carried out the orders of the former " minister of communications of the donetsk people's republic" Viktor Yatsenko and the "deputy governor of the Kherson region" Gubareva.
Currently, the deputy director of the national park is hiding with his masters in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.
He has been charged with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The penalty under this article is life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office is supervising the proceedings.
