The SBI reported suspicion of violation of laws and customs of war to russian soldier-rapist (VIDEO)

The SBI employees reported suspicion to a serviceman of the 37th separate guards motorized rifle brigade from russian Buryatia. He is accused of sexual violence and other violations of the laws and customs of war stipulated by international agreements.

It was established that in March 2022, during the occupation of Kyiv region, the serviceman committed sexual violence against a fifty-year-old local resident.

The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.

The sanction of the article provides punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 12 years.

According to the operative information, the rapist's location was last recorded in Kharkiv region, when he was fleeing from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian military shows its bravery only with defenseless women. All criminals will sooner or later be punished in accordance with Ukrainian and international law, unless our soldiers punish them in the battle first.

The crime was documented in cooperation with the Department for Protection of Public and State Interests of the National Police of Ukraine. Procedural guidance is provided by the Prosecutor General's Office.
