The SBI reported suspicion of high treason to five ex-officials from the Kharkiv region
The SBI employees reported suspicion of treason to five former law enforcement officers of the Kharkiv region, who in the temporarily occupied territories cooperate with the invaders.
One of the suspects in early March 2022 received a position in the so-called tax authority created by the armed groups of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied city of Izyum.
She was responsible for collecting payments from citizens of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kharkiv region on behalf of the invaders.
The official also handed over the data about local taxpayers to the occupiers.
Two more law enforcers began to work in the pseudo police station of the temporarily occupied city of Volchansk as a district police officer and assistant on duty.
The other two suspects were "employed" in the temporarily occupied city of Kupyansk and the village of Borovo. They help the occupiers in every way and follow their commands: they conduct searches and patrol the streets.
All five betrayers were reported suspicion of high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Procedural guidance of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
