The SBI served a suspicion notice of high treason to former law enforcers from Vovchansk, who fled, abandoning their russian uniforms and weapons
The SBI employees served a notice of suspicion of treason to 10 law enforcement officers from Vovchansk, Kharkiv region.
It was established that after the occupation of the region by russian troops, some law enforcers joined the newly created illegal law enforcement agencies of the occupiers.
Traitors were on duty at checkpoints, conducted searches of their former colleagues and their relatives. There were recorded facts of "snatching" things from local residents, etc.
After the Defense Forces liberated the district territory, the russians' henchmen fled with their bosses, losing their belongings and documents that were provided to them to fulfil criminal orders.
It should be reminded that on October 8, the SBI employees conducted 16 court-sanctioned searches at the place of residence of the law enforcers.
They found and seized
- uniform of the russian police;
- emblems of the occupation troops of russia;
- georgian ribbons;
- propaganda newspapers;
- computer equipment;
- flash drives;
- weapons, including those illegally seized from the local population, etc.
Law enforcers were served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In case of proven guilt, the traitors face punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
