The SBI notified the Head of the Azov fishery protection patrol, who is helping the occupiers to steal fish, of suspicion of high treason
The SBI investigators have notified in absentia the Acting Head of the Azov Basin Department of the State Agency of Melioration and Fisheries of Ukraine of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation revealed that the law enforcement officer had expressed his personal desire to serve in the subordination of the occupation administration of the russian federation. He took leadership of the illegally formed "division of environmental protection and aquatic bioresources" of the russian occupation administration in the city of Berdyansk.
The official started agitating others to betray Ukraine. He allowed the occupants to use the fleet of the Azov Basin Department, grant fishing licenses, exercise control and dispose of water bioresources caught on Ukrainian territory and belonging to the people of Ukraine.
Procedural guidance into this criminal proceeding is provided by the Zaporizhzhia Region Prosecutor’s Office.
The State Bureau of Investigation again emphasizes and warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperating with the russian occupation forces. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.
The short-term benefits of serving the occupiers will be shameful and prolonged imprisonment.
