The SBI reported suspicion of high treason to two tax officers who collected taxes for occupants in Kherson

The State Bureau of Investigations served a notice of suspicion of treason to the head of the department of administration of local taxes and fees and the chief state inspector for VAT refund of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Kherson region. 

The officials, after the beginning of the temporary occupation, voluntarily defected to the enemy and were officially employed in the illegally created by the occupiers body "tax service of Kherson region".

They helped the invaders in organizing a tax collection system from Kherson region residents and businesses in favor of the aggressor country. The suspects, who had been working in the tax system for many years, knew where, from whom and how much they could get.

For their conscientious "service" they received senior positions from the invader: "deputy head of the department" and "head of the department - chief accountant". It is known that the traitors established the amount of tax or privileges for a particular taxpayer, provided by the legislation of the russian federation, were engaged in the calculation and establishment of salaries for employees of the occupation body in russian rubles.

The women were notified in absentia of suspicion of treason under martial law (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office.
