The State Bureau of Investigation continues the systemic activity of exposing traitors who have decided to side with the enemy. Each such fact is thoroughly examined, and all collaborators will be brought to criminal liability.

The investigators of the SBI established that the head of one of the district courts of the Lugansk region, after the occupation of the town, agreed to occupy the post of a judge in the illegally created body of the so-called “LPR”.

To quickly establish and strengthen the occupying power, the suspect announced a "gathering" of judges and staff of the district court. She publicly called on them to side with the enemy and swore allegiance to the so-called "LPR". The head of the court assured her subordinates that the occupied territory would become part of the pseudo-republic and guaranteed assistance in obtaining positions in the newly created "judicial bodies".

In the Kharkiv region, the employees of the SBI notified the head of one of the district courts of the Kharkiv region of high treason.

Investigators established that after the occupation of one of the settlements in the Kharkiv region, the head of the local court personally began the preparation of the court to collaborate with the enemy. She actively urged her subordinates to betray Ukraine and conduct the so-called "legal proceedings" as part of the occupation authorities. The suspect also sought the support of local law enforcers, who she offered to cooperate with the aggressor.

The heads of the court were notified of suspicion of high treason (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and collaboration activities (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Suspects are facing imprisonment for up to 15 years or life imprisonment. The apprehension for compelled appearance is under consideration.

Procedural guidance is provided by the Prosecutor Generals Office and the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
