SBI issues suspicion notices to three former Melitopol police officers involved in tracking down Ukrainian patriots for occupiers
SBI employees have exposed former law enforcement officers who defected to the enemy and joined the illegal occupation body, the melitopol police, of high treason.
At the beginning of the temporary occupation of the city, the traitors did not comply with the order to relocate and have voluntarily joined the invaders.
The defendants are currently patrolling Melitopol and Melitopol district, imposing fines on citizens under the laws of the russian federation, executing the tasks of the occupation regime to identify and suppress the partisan movement, seizing weapons from local hunters and reporting to the russian special services on the public mood of citizens.
The defendants are also actively agitating for collaboration with the aggressor among their former colleagues, Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
The SBI, in cooperation with the National Police, served the defendants in absentia with a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the case.
