The SBI has served notification of suspicion to the judge from the Kyiv region, who forged documents to go on a Caribbean cruise
The employees of the SBI, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, have served notification of suspicion to the judge of the city district court of Brovary, who went abroad on vacation by using forged documents. Also, the notification of suspicion was served to the lawyer who helped him to make those false documents.
It was established that the judge during martial law went on vacation on a cruise ship.
For this, the judge, being in collusion with the familiar lawyer, forged an invitation allegedly to participate in a conference in Vienna on helping immigrants, families with children and orphans from Ukraine in the EU. On the basis of this fake reason, the necessary documents for a business trip abroad were issued for the judge.
The judge was served notification of suspicion of fraud committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, forgery of documents and the use of knowingly forged documents (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 190, Part 3, 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The lawyer was served notification of suspicion of fraud committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons and forgery of documents (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 190, Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the Article provides for imprisonment for up to 5 years. Currently, the issue of electing a preventive measure to the suspects is being decided.
