SBI served a notice of suspicion to a judge of one of the occupiers' illegal courts in Mariupol

11/04/2023

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation notified in absentia a former judge of the Leninsky District Court of Donetsk Oblast, who is now working for the occupiers in Mariupol, of suspicion of treason and participation in a terrorist organisation.

In 2014, during the aggressor's capture of Donetsk, the judge willfully remained in the temporarily occupied territory and supported the creation of the pseudo-republic of the "donetsk people's republic". Since 2015, the defendant has been a judge of the "Budennovskyi Interdistrict Court of Donetsk of the Donetsk People's Republic".

The woman actively contributed to the establishment and functioning of the fake "judiciary" in the temporarily occupied territories. She repeatedly participated in court sessions as a judge presiding over criminal, civil and administrative cases.

Currently, she is on a "business trip" to the temporarily occupied Mariupol to supposedly "establish" the work and functioning of the so-called "judicial system of the dpr" in the city.

The former judge of the Leninsky District Court of Donetsk Region is suspected of participating in a terrorist organisation (Article 258-3, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and high treason (Article 111, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years.

Procedural supervision in the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.

As a reminder,in March 2023, the SBI informed a judge of the "supreme court of the donetsk people's republic", who banned everything Ukrainian in the temporarily occupied territory, of being suspected.

The State Bureau of Investigation once again emphasises and warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with the russian occupation forces. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.
