The SBI reported suspicion of high treason to six more law enforcers from the Luhansk region, one of them even became a propagandist for the russian mass media
The SBI continues to identify the enemy and collaborators who voluntarily defected to the enemy and took positions in the illegally established occupation authorities.
SBI employees reported suspicion to three law enforcement officers from the Luhansk region, who betrayed their oaths to Ukraine after a full-scale invasion by the russian federation.
Immediately after the occupation of the region by the russian federation, they expressed their support for the actions of the invaders and volunteered to take over the positions of law enforcement officers in the illegally established law enforcement body of the so-called "luhansk people republic" ("lpr") and swore their allegiance to the russian federation and "lpr".
Two other Luhansk residents agreed to cooperate with the occupying authorities and started working in the illegally created by the occupants unit of the so-called ministry of emergencies of "lpr".
Thus, all of the betrayers are suspected of willful employment in illegal law enforcement bodies established on the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
They face up to 15 years imprisonment.
Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Kyiv City and Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Offices.
Also, employees of the SBI have started a special pre-trial investigation of the deputy head of the Starobilsky Prosecutor's Office in Luhansk region. He is suspected of high treason.
According to investigators, the suspect has deliberately joined a criminal conspiracy with the representatives of the so-called "lpr", assisted propaganda channels of the enemy state in spreading fakes about Ukraine and carrying out subversion. In particular, he gave interviews to russian TV channels, presenting himself as an employee of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office and demonstrating his permit.
At the same time, the betrayer was spreading lies about alleged "crimes" committed by certain units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the civilian population, and about NATO bases on the territory of the region, etc.
Investigators of the SBI have reported him suspicion of high treason under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The punishment provided by this the article is 15 years imprisonment or life imprisonment.
