The SBI employees served a notice of suspicion to an ex-law enforcer from the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region, who has been actively cooperating with the armed forces of russia since the beginning of March 2022.

It was found that after the capture of Izyum by russian troops, the suspect, along with the invaders, organized "explanatory talks" with the locals and searched for activists and service weapons from former colleagues.

During one of such raids, the suspect together with russian servicemen broke into the house of one of the local law enforcement officers, took away his car, valuables and personal belongings.

For such "outstanding merits", the occupation administration promoted the defendant to the position of "head of the department of district inspectors" at the illegal law enforcement agency in Izium. After the liberation of Izium, the man fled following the occupiers.

The former law enforcement officer was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.

The State Bureau of Investigation is consistently working to ensure that every traitor to Ukraine is brought to justice.

Earlier, the SBI has already sent to court proceedings against the head of district police inspectors of the occupation police in Vovchansk.
