The SBI served a notice of suspicion to the "head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Zaporizhzhia region" and his associates
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to actively identify and expose russian accomplices and collaborators among officials and law enforcement officers.
The SBI served a notice of suspicion in absentia to the former head of the Melitopol District Department of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia region and two other employees who betrayed their oath and are working for the enemy.
After the russians seized the region, these emergency workers refused to be evacuated and voluntarily went to serve the invaders. They helped to create the occupation structure of the "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Zaporizhzhia region", where they became employed.
The former head of the State Emergency Service personally drives around the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhya region, openly campaigns for the enemy, participates in the celebrations of the occupiers and has become the "face" of the occupation structure for russian propagandists.
The defendant also betrayed his former subordinates who did not want to defect to the enemy, threatening them with deportation if they refused to cooperate with the occupation authorities.
The other two defendants also actively assisted the occupiers, participated in propaganda activities and followed all instructions of the enemy.
Three former employees of the State Emergency Service were served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Procedural supervision is carried out by Zaporizzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
