The SBI served a notice of suspicion to a former law enforcer who helped occupants to establish their regime in the occupied part of Kharkiv region
The SBI employees in cooperation with the National Police served a notice of suspicion of high treason to a former law enforcer from Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region.
According to the investigation, after the occupation of Kupiansk district by russian troops, the invaders began to recruit locals who could work for them. A former law enforcement officer was among those who were offered a position.
After submitting a written application to the head of the illegal occupation administration, the traitor was appointed as a senior operative and, later, a district police officer of the occupation police in the village of Shevchenkove. He was on duty at the station with the invaders, patrolled the streets, and detained local residents.
It was established that he received 60 thousand russian rubles per month for working for the enemy.
During the liberation of Kupiansk district, the traitor fled to russia.
The former law enforcement officer was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.
The procedural supervision is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigations detained and reported suspicion to a former law enforcement officer, who headed a unit of the occupants' convoy service in Kupiansk district. Now he is behind bars. And so it will be for everyone who has turned traitor. They will be held accountable before the law regardless of where they hide.
