SBI employees served a notice of suspicion of treason on a former Ukrainian law enforcement officer.

During the occupation of Izium, the traitor was involved in filtration activities held by the russian military. By the way, the occupiers themselves believed for a long time that they had come to "liberate" the city of "13 YM". This is how they called the district centre when reading local signs.

The former law enforcer rushed to work for the "experts" in geography immediately after the city's siege. Having betrayed his oath, he began to actively help the invaders to establish their order in the occupied city. He was appointed to a position in the so-called local "people's militia" and stood guard side by side with the russian military at checkpoints where most local residents were filtered.

After the city was liberated, he fled with his new masters.

The former law enforcement officer is suspected of treason in absentia (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Procedural supervision is carried out by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
