The SBI employees reported suspicion to a former law enforcement officer who headed the occupation administration of Vesele village in Kharkiv region.

After the occupants seized the village, the law enforcement officer began to cooperate with them, agitating local residents to help the invaders. He also took an active part in the creation of the local occupation administration, which he later headed.

As head of the occupation administration, the traitor issued certificates to the local population. These allowed them to move around the region.

Even before the village was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he fled to russia even earlier than the occupiers.

The former law enforcement officer was served a notice of suspicion of treason in absentia (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.

Procedural supervision is provided by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Earlier, the SBI served a notice of suspicion of high treason to a former law enforcement officer from Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, who helped the occupiers establish their order in the occupied part of Kharkiv region.
