The SBI served a notice of suspicion to ex-employee of migration service who issues russian passports in Luhansk region

The SBI agents reported suspicion to an employee of one of the district departments of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Luhansk region, who after the russian invasion took a position in the occupation structure.

After the capture of Svatove district vilages in Luhansk region by russians, the former employee of the migration service started working in the so-called "Milovskyi district department of internal affairs of the ministry of internal affairs of luhansk region".

She issues russian passports in the temporarily occupied territories. The Ukrainians who stayed in the temporarily occupied territory are often forced to receive russian passports.

The former employee of the migration service was notified of being suspected of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Luhansk Region Prosecutor's Office.

The State Bureau of Investigation warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with russian occupation authorities. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.

In general, the SBI has been investigating 1 thousand 180 criminal proceedings on crimes against the foundations of national security for nearly a year of Ukraine's resistance to the armed aggression of russia as of the beginning of January 2023.
