Immediately after the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the suspect called Ukrainian officials with a proposal to sign an agreement with the russian federation on the so-called "Friendship and Protection," which meant the voluntary surrender of territories to the enemy in exchange for "high positions".

At the same time, the traitor said that he was acting on behalf of the leadership of the russian federation. Subsequently, the former Minister participated in the creation and publication of a number of videos and digests, in order to form anti-government sentiments in society to assist the russian federation in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

In his speeches, the former official justifies and recognizes the legitimate armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, glorifies the representatives of the armed forces of the russian federation.

The former Minister of Internal Affairs is suspected of actions against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine, as well as against peace, security of mankind and international legal order (Part 1, 2 of Article 111, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation will insist on choosing a preventive measure regarding the suspect in the form of detention.

The procedural guidance is provided by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

It should be reminded that earlier the former official was served notification of suspicion in the "Maidan cases" for organizing the commission of a number of serious and especially serious crimes regarding the seizure of state power, abuse of power and official powers, misappropriation, embezzlement and seizure of other people's property, on an especially large scale, intentional murders, causing varying degrees of severity of bodily harm, some of which were sent to the court.

In February 2014, after committing those crimes and realizing the victory of the Revolution of Dignity, the suspect fled to the russian federation, where he began to contribute to the development of events with the introduction of the russian federation troops to occupy the sovereign territories of our state. For the implementation of the aggressor's plans, the suspect obtained russian citizenship and began to lead an active social life to assist in conduction subversive activities against Ukraine.
