The SBI reported suspicion to former head of fire department from Donetsk region who is actively cooperating with occupants
The SBI employees served a suspicion notice to the former head of one of the fire brigades of Donetsk region, who works for the enemy and participates in the work of occupation authorities.
After russian troops captured some settlements of Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, the man voluntarily joined the occupants. He received from the occupation administration a "position" related to the performance of organizational and administrative functions in the so-called "fire and rescue unit of Svitlodarsk city".
The defendant also participated in meetings of the occupation administration of the local administration of Svitlodarsk.
The former law enforcement officer was served a notice of suspicion of treason in absentia (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.
The procedural guidance is provided by the Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
The SBI continues to identify and bring to justice traitors and collaborators among former law enforcement officers.
In particular, the SBI served a notice of suspicion to the head of the occupation police in one of the districts of Luhansk region.
