The SBI reported suspicion to four law enforcers who work for the enemy in Zaporizzhia region
The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work to expose traitors and collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories. They will all be held accountable in accordance with the Ukrainian laws. Some of them have already been detained after the liberation of the occupied territories, others will be found sooner or later, wherever they are hiding.
The SBI agents served notices of suspicion to four former law enforcement officers from the village of Vesele, Zaporizzhia region, who defected to the enemy after the russian invasion.
After the region's temporary occupation began, still-active law enforcement officers voluntarily joined the occupiers. They publicly agreed to work for russia and agitated their colleagues to betray the oath.
Under the guidance of the occupation administration, the men participated in the creation of the "people's militia" in the village of Vesele. The defendants also conducted searches of the village residents, took away property in favor of the occupiers, and guarded their propaganda mass events.
Four persons were served in absentia notices of suspicion of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The procedural supervision is carried out by the Zaporizzhia Region Prosecutor's Office.
The SBI continues to thoroughly expose traitors and collaborators who betrayed their country during the war. Each of them will be brought to justice in accordance with the law.
It should be reminded that three former law enforcement officers, who organized raids and searches in occupied Berdiansk, will be tried based on the SBI materials.
