The SBI reported suspicion to 9 law enforcers from Tokmak who defected to the enemy side

The State Bureau of Investigation continues its thoroughl work to expose and bring to justice traitors of Ukraine, who defected to the enemy side since the beginning of the military aggression of the russian federation.

The SBI employees reported suspicion of treason to nine law enforcement officers who voluntarily agreed to serve in the so-called "people's police" of the temporarily occupied cities of Tokmak and Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region.

It was found, that since April, men began to cooperate with the aggressor and conduct patrols in temporarily occupied cities. They also induced other law enforcement officers to treason, searched the places of residence of former colleagues.


Also, based on the materials of the SBI, an indictment was sent to the court against the former deputy head of one of the correctional colonies in the Donetsk region, who, after the beginning of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, also defected to the enemy.

The official voluntarily took up a position in the so-called "punishment service" of the occupation authorities. She was looking for accomplices and agitated for collaboration with the enemy.

Law enforcers are suspected of high treason, and the former official is accused of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Procedural guidance in criminal proceeding is carried out by Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regional prosecutor's offices.

 


It should be reminded, that since the beginning of russian aggression, the SBI has been investigating more than 815 proceedings against traitors and collaborators.

All collaborators will be brought to justice.
