15/05/2023

SBI employees served notices of suspicion in absentia to 23 former law enforcers from Mariupol who cooperated with russians and were appointed to positions in the so-called law enforcement agencies of the occupiers.

It has been established that after the capture of Mariupol, the traitors voluntarily donned enemy camouflage with occupiers' insignia. They followed the instructions of the enemy authorities, carried out filtration measures in the Illichivskyi, Primorskyi and Zhovtnevyi districts of Mariupol, and searched for pro-Ukrainian citizens.

The 'policemen' also willingly participated in mass events of the invaders, provided comments to Russian propagandists, criticising the Ukrainian authorities and campaigning to support the occupation regime.

23 former law enforcement officers were notified of being suspected of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural supervision.

The work to expose traitors and collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories continues, no one will escape responsibility for treason.
