The SBI susspects two law-enforcments in high treason, who joined the enemy side

The SBI employees notified in absentia 11 law enforcers from the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson region of suspicion of high treason.

Eight of them voluntarily agreed to "cooperate" with the Russian Federation in the illegally created by the occupants' law-enforcement agency in Berdyansk.

Based on the investigation data, starting from April of the current year, the law enforcers were conducting searches at the place of residence of their former colleagues. They took out the valuable property and then helped the so-called "migrants from the Russian Federation" to settle in the stolen housing.

In addition, the investigators notified in absentia 3 employees of the law enforcement agency in the Kherson region about the suspicion of high treason. At the very beginning of the military aggression, they volunteered to "serve" in the so-called "Genicheskiy district police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kherson region".

All former Ukrainian law enforcers are suspected of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance is carried out by the Zaporizhzhya Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
