The SBI suspects a former high-ranking official of State Reserve Agency of causing losses to the state for more than 205 million UAN (VIDEO)

The SBI employees reported suspicion of abuse of power to the former acting head of the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine. His actions led to the state loss of more than 205 million UAN.

Currently, the official holds the post of deputy head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning.

It was established that in April 2021, a high-ranking official temporarily acted as head of the State Reserve of Ukraine and approved the sale of 18 thousand tons of diesel fuel at a specialized auction at a significantly underestimated cost.

The official ignored the guidances of the Ministry of Economy to ensure that the market value of diesel fuel is properly assessed.

According to the results of the auction, diesel fuel was sold to a private firm half the price of its market value. By its decision, the official caused damage to the state in the amount of more than 205 million UAN. hryvnias

The SBI suspects the former head of the State Reserve of Ukraine of abuse of authority, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment up to 6 years.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
