The SBI in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine handed over to ARMA another part of the property of the relatives of Medvedchuk and Kozak for almost UAH 400 million
At the request of the SBI, the court seized and handed over to the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (abbr. - ARMA) several more enterprises that worth almost UAH 400 million and are owned by the closest relatives of the former People's deputies Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak who are suspected of hig.
The property and corporate rights of the construction companies «Betonbud» and «Capital Plaza» that were registered in Lviv, 50% of the corporate rights of LLC «Galitske Perekhrestya», the ultimate owners of which are the native brothers of Medvedchuk and Kozak, will be handed over to the state.
The property and corporate rights of the transport enterprise «Transmonolitavto», which is fully owned by Kozak's brother, were also handed over to the state.
In total, industrial premises, laboratory building and warehouses with a total area of more than 10,2 thousand square meters, a land plot of more than 7 hectares, 74 cars, 2 loaders, 4 excavators, a bulldozer and a motor grader, non-residential premises in Kyiv with an area of 167 square meters were arrested and will be handed over to the state.
Earlier, at the request of the SBI, a brick production plant in the Lviv region worth more than $5 million was handed over to the state. The company had been evading taxes for years, sending profits to finance russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. In June, the SBI, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, served notifications of suspicion to the defendants in the investigation.
Also, the property, which the defendants managed to transfer to the relatives, was seized and handed over to the state administration.
In addition, at the request of the SBI, land plots which Medvedchuk and Kozak that had been received free of charge from one of the territorial communities of the Lviv region were arrested. On the lands that according to the documents have an agricultural purpose, in fact, there are considerable deposits of gas. The defendants were also planning to earn money by depleting the Ukrainian subsoil.
The SBI continues systematic work to identify business-assets with pro-russian roots that are used to finance russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
