The SBI served a notice of suspicion to ex-law enforcement officer, who commanded a unit of occupants' convoy service in Kupiansk district (VIDEO)

The SBI employeess in cooperation with the National Police reported a suspicion to a former law enforcement officer from Kupiansk district.

It was found that during the temporary occupation of the region, the man wrote an application to the head of the occupation administration, in which he asked to be appointed to a pseudo-law enforcement agency. The occupiers entrusted him with the management of the convoy service unit.

One of the main tasks of his unit was to escort local residents, Ukrainian law enforcement officers and anti-terrorist operation participants detained by the occupiers.

After the liberation of the region, the man tried to hide. He was detained in the framework of stabilization measures in Kupiansk district.

The former law enforcement officer was served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

Earlier, the SBI officers completed the pre-trial investigation against another ex-law enforcement officer from Kupiansk district, who was also actively cooperating with the occupants.
