The SBI exposed and detained another four traitors among law enforcers in the Kharkiv region

The State Bureau of Investigation continues to carry out systematic stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region to identify traitors and collaborators.

In particular, the SBI employees in cooperation with the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region detained a former Ukrainian law enforcement officer while checking (patrolling) the city of Izyum liberated from rashists.

A native of Izyum after the occupation of the city approached invaders to negotiate about cooperation. At first, he was employed as a district police officer in a pseudo-police station, but later he was "promoted" and became the head of the local district police. In the occupation authorities, the traitor was responsible for "public order" on the streets of the city. In order to control the situation and prevent local patriots from taking any protest actions, he personally, together with representatives of the russian armed forces, organized patrols and hunting for pro-Ukrainian citizens.

After the release of Izium, the traitor began to hide, but he did not succeed for long.

Another traitor was a Ukrainian law enforcement officer in Vovchansk. When the city was occupied by the russian army, he began to serve the occupiers. Rashists appointed the "mankurt" to run the headquarters in the pseudo-police station. He also patrolled the city together with russian soldiers and regularly reported to his supervisors on the situation in Vovchansk.

Both former law enforcers were reported suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance is provided by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
