The SBI documents new treasons of the servicemen whо defected to the enemy back in 2014 and are now actively involved in the war against Ukraine

The State Bureau of Investigation continues to carry out systematic activities to document the actions of military traitors. Some of those who defected to the enemy in 2014 now are actively involved in aggression against Ukraine. All actions of traitors are documented by the Bureau; the punishment will be inevitable and severe.

When russian occupiers captured one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Crimea in 2014, the personnel had to relocate to Mykolaiv region.

However, the commander of the artillery of the military unit betrayed the state and began to collaborate with the aggressor.

The employees of the SBI established that the colonel, to curry favour with the occupier, was transferring the property of a military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to units of the artillery and the Black Sea Fleet of russian army.

He is currently serving in russian army and fighting against Ukraine.

Another traitor is a naval officer who was "rewarded" for treason with the post of commander of the large landing ship "Novocherkassk" of russian Black Sea Fleet.

In March 2022, his ship was hit by Ukrainian defenders, and the crew had to flee to the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk.

The investigators of the SBI notified the commander of the ship of suspicion of high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

The article provides imprisonment for a term of 15 years.
