39 million hryvnias in losses: the SBI notified forestry workers in Volyn of suspicion

The State Bureau of Investigation carries out systematic work to identify and stop environmental crimes. This work does not stop even during the military aggression of russia. All officials who, during martial law, attempt to engage in illegal activities will face the most severe punishment.

In particular, the employees of SBI together with the National Police exposed one of the executives of Volyn regional administration of forest and landscape state administration and its employees who caused the state losses of over UAH 39 million for their illicit cooperation with the employees of the state enterprise "Forestry in Lubomlivka".

During the last three years, they carried out forestry activities without an assessment impact on the environment, which is mandatory during the implementation of the planned activities.

Four individuals were suspected of excess of authority or official powers (Part 3 of Article 365 of the CC of Ukraine). The question about the application of an interim measure is considered.

The sanction of this article provides in a form of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
